Cut to length systems for metal coil have undergone a definite transformation, from purely mechanical system (realized with mechanical or hydraulic transmission) to electronic systems that allow best precision to more elevated speed of process and more safety.
It's just that one of the areas where S.I.P.I.E. Srl is particularly involved and where is reflected and satisfaction: "Flying cut".
Born for applications where material is cut in motion, the term "Flying cut" has undergone several changes to increase performance and speed production. This system finds application in rotary (through rotary and drum shear) and linear (flying shear) cutting systems.
For these systems S.I.P.I.E. Srl uses and applies UNICO Ltd drives and controllers which is the official supplement for Italy. The electronic cutting system is custom according to customer requirements while maintaining safety standards in accordance with the applicable law.
In addition to the controllers currently used S.I.P.I.E. Srl has in the past relied on other controllers (Reliance Electric, now Rockwell Automation's, new and old generation) which can still provide assistance.
In addition to cutting system S.I.P.I.E. Srl designs and automating the entire process of transformation of the plate from roll (unwinding, flattening, straightening, stackers, circular shears, winders, groups of tensioning) to the finished product both on new machines or upgrading existing machines (with old controller and PLC) to make them more complete and reliable performance.
In cut to length lines S.I.P.I.E. Srl also manufactures systems for tensioning the sheet metal strip to eliminate possible defects due to rolling mill, to eliminate residual material stress and to simplify the flattering process of the sheet. Customers Feedback, where this system has been installed, are about great interest in new potential introduced in this type of processing, to the results obtained in the material flattering process and for the new production range.
